About Toyota Belta

The third car in the Toyota-Maruti will be a rebadged version of the Ciaz sedan and will be called the Belta. It is essentially the same car as the Ciaz but with the Toyota badging both on the inside and outside.
In terms of exterior design, the Belta has the same silhouette as the Ciaz with all the same elements like the shape of the headlamps, wheels and even the colour schemes. What is new is that the grille has been slightly modified to separate both the cars. The interior is the same as the Ciaz but with Toyota badging all around and some slight changes to the upholstery as well as the infotainment screens.
The Belta for the Indian market will sit above the Ciaz in terms of pricing and is thus expected to be offered in only a few top-spec variants. The only engine on offer will be Suzuki’s 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol producing 103bhp/138Nm. Gearbox options are expected to include a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic.
The Belta will go up against the likes of the Hyundai VernaHonda CityVolkswagen VentoSkoda Rapid and the Maruti Ciaz.
